Grill Me skill review

Relentlessly interviews the user until every reachable branch of a decision is resolved.

Verdict

The clearest reason to install Matt’s collection. Grill Me turns vague intent into a visible decision tree and refuses to let the agent silently fill gaps, which directly addresses the most expensive failure in agentic coding: building the wrong thing quickly.

Best for

Ambiguous features, product decisions, architecture proposals, and any request where the first prompt hides several unresolved branches.

Keep in mind

It deliberately adds friction and can be excessive for a tiny, already-specified change. Its value also depends on answering honestly instead of accepting every recommended default.

Example task

Grill me about replacing our invitation flow with shareable workspace links before anyone writes a migration or UI code.
